Dimensions of Black: The Founding Fathers of Hayti
November 9, 2019 at 8 pm
After emancipation, African Americans had to find a new pattern of existence. In Durham, NC, three men came together and built a company that became the cornerstone of Black Wall Street and established the city’s Hayti community as America’s “Capital of the Black Middle Class”. Featuring a mix of drama, music and poetry, this dynamic performance will be presented at the former St. Joseph’s AME Church where the story of Hayti began. Presented by the Triangle Friends of African American Arts.
General admission is $25. VIP seating and reception with cast members is $35. Tickets can be purchased at www.africanamericanarts.org.
